Dr. Janet Sora Chung, originally from Edmonton, Alberta, is an active and versatile musician in New York City where she is Organist and Music Director at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Dr. Chung has a passion for performing the works of Messiaen, Bach and Rachel Laurin. She is a grateful recipient of scholarships and support from the Anne Burrows Foundation, the Royal Canadian College of Organists, the University of Alberta, the Alberta Foundation of the Arts and the Winspear Foundation.
